WHAT'S COOKIN' RESEARCH RESIDENCY

[nueBOX] is currently accepting applications from artists to participate in the What’s Cookin’ Residency from January-May 2017 at Mesa Arts Center. The What’s Cookin’ Residency is meant to stir up conversations, mash up traditional molds and aesthetics, and blend together new ideas and art forms.  The residency is open to local artists interested in studying the creation of interdisciplinary, collaborative, and/or research-based art. The residency will provide artists with a space to create, opportunities to receive feedback, documentation, publicity, a venue to exhibit their work, and a $250 stipend.

EXPERIMENTAL ART NIGHT

Experimental Art Night [EAN] is an experimental laboratory providing artists with a friendly environment in which to try out works-in-progress, completed pieces, or performance experiments. EAN provides a venue for artists of all disciplines to present their work in front of an informal audience of adventurous members of the community. There are no audition requirements or curators screening the works, so come on down and show us what you've got!

WIPS

[nueBOX] believes in the importance of feedback during the creative process.  WIPS expose the creative process to the public, and help the artist during artistic research.  [nueBOX] staff facilitates feedback sessions using Liz Lerman's 5-Step Critical Response Practice.

[brunchBOX]

[nueBOX] curates casual artist meet-ups over breakfast to discuss topics relevant to the Phoenix artist community.  Topics change every week, but have previously included topics such as Taxes for Freelance Artists and Art Life After College for Dancers.
